Our commencement celebration consists of two ceremonies. At the Academic Convocation on Friday, May 22, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. in the Gordon Field House and Activities Center, , RIT will recognize the accomplishments of our graduates from all eight colleges by officially conferring degrees. During the Convocation, the Commencement Speaker will deliver the 2009 Commencement Address and Ph.D. candidates will be hooded. We will acknowledge our outstanding teachers and students graduating with honors, and all students will be recognized collectively by their college. By recognizing the excellence of our faculty and students, we spotlight RIT tradition, university pride and community spirit.

Our college commencement ceremonies held on both Friday, May 22, and Saturday, May 23, 2009, will recognize the graduates individually. We're proud of our students - they are the heart of this university.
