| The Life Science Club is an academic club with two main functions. Firstly, the LSC provides a social avenue for students interested in the biological sciences to mingle and learn about fun events that are occurring on campus. Secondly, this organization provides students with information explaining research opportunities and upcoming research conventions in the Rochester area. E-Board members have significant research exposure, both in- and out of academia, as well as experience in presenting at local and international conferences. As the eBoard members are usually upperclassmen, they can share advice on how to secure a research internship, earn grant money, and succeed in the rigorous academic environment of RIT. This group has previously provided funding for students to present their research at locations including the Rochester Academy of Science, the Colorado Convention Center, as well the Moscone Center in San Francisco. | |
