| Crouched behind the fluttering tachometer and under the relentless Detroit sun, you gaze across the pavement and over the competition. After eight months of design, analysis, testing, and construction, you truly appreciate the work and dedication that was poured into each entry from over a hundred schools. The green flag drops...you ease off the clutch and hammer the throttle, determined to show the world the soundness of your team's design and the quality of your craftsmanship, as the car you built launches from the line. The excitement that brings you here is what brought you to RIT Formula SAE. Determined to be the best...you have joined one of the best Formula SAE teams ever assembled. Rich with history and tradition, the RIT Formula SAE team has competed in over 19 Formula SAE competitions on three different continents. In twelve years, they have won numerous awards, including two overall titles in England and Australia. Each year a new car is built by you, the students of RIT, who are dedicated to continuing this success enjoyed by the RIT Formula SAE Race Team! So if you feel the excitement, please stop by the Mechanical Engineering Machine shop and check it out up close and personal. Just remember, the time between the start and finish is much shorter in an RIT Formula FSAE car! | |
