Why vend at RIT?
Vending at RIT is a great opportunity to sell products and services to potentially thousands of students, faculty and staff members.
Assistance from a student organization is available during your visit to RIT. You may select or our office can assign you a sponsor group. This group will contact you a few days before your visit and help to meet your vending needs. Your sponsor group is available to help you unload and load your items, set up and clean up and to give you a break during the day. Sponsor groups are students of RIT, and therefore, they are not available to stay with the vendor the whole day due to classes, but they are expected to help the vendor as much as possible.
Vending Locations
There are two locations on campus where venders are permits to sell. The lobby of the Student Alumni Union (SAU) is our most popular vending location. The SAU is a central place for many campus offices and activities. This is also the location of two cafeterias, Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream and the RIT Candy Counter; all popular and busy places for RIT students, faculty and staff. Vending at RIT is a great opportunity to reach a wide range of possible customers. Grace Watson Hall is our other vending location, located on the residential side of campus. Grace Watson houses the largest dining hall on campus and is connected to two our residence halls, home to over 1,300 students, especially during the lunch and dinner times.
Cost of Vending at RIT
Vending in the SAU is available from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM on Thursdays and Fridays only. The cost to reserve a table in the SAU is $50, however, a second and third table only cost $6 each (a total of $62 for three tables). Vending in Grace Watson Hall is available each weekday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, but no tables are provided. There are a limited number of spaces so please remember to book early.
