Heart Walk 2013

In your lifetime almost every single one of you will know or be related to someone with cardiovascular disease. This is because heart disease and stroke remain the #1 health threat in the United States, robbing nearly 1 million Americans of life each year.

The Rochester Institute of Technology is joining the fight against heart disease and stroke by participating in the American Heart Association's Heart Walk 2013. This will be our 14th year as a team, RIT Team Tiger, and I am encouraging each department to get involved in this important cause.

The American Heart Walk is not only a great way to get involved in your community, but it is also a lot of fun! There will be live music, free food, magicians for the kids, and so much more. It is a great family event, so bring them along - let's have a great turn out! Thank you for supporting RIT as we work together and make a difference in our community! Your involvement is appreciated and commended.
